Award-winning Dining and Unprecedented Theatrics Create One-of-a-Kind Night
10/21/2007
MGM Grand spices up the KÀ experience by adding spectacular pre-theatre dinner packages at seven of the resort’s acclaimed restaurants. The dinner packages pair a sensational meal with terrific seats for KÀ, the spectacular creation of Cirque du Soleil featuring circus acrobatics, martial arts, puppetry and pyrotechnics.
Available each evening (except dark nights of Sunday and Monday), these packages feature special three or four-course menus created exclusively for KÀ theatre-goers by the chefs of Diego, Fiamma Trattoria & Bar, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, NOBHILL, Pearl, SEABLUE and Shibuya.
MGM Grand’s evolution into one of the Strip’s hottest destination resorts has created one of Las Vegas’ most talked-about dining scenes. From the celebrated French cuisine of culinary master Joël Robuchon at L’Atelier to Diego featuring traditional Mexican food and one of the best premium tequila selections in the world, the pre-theater dinner packages serve up delicious dishes to match every mood.
•Diego (four courses) – At Diego, the bold vibrancy of traditional Mexican cuisine is blended with sophisticated sensibility for a thoroughly modern dining experience. Creations take cues from the street stalls of urban Mexico, the vendors of market towns and the regional flair of home-fire cooking.
•Fiamma Trattoria & Bar (three courses) - Unique Italian cuisine, tantalizing drinks and a dash of Soho style take center stage at Fiamma Trattoria. Fiamma is the stylish outpost of restaurateur Stephen Hanson’s highly successful Manhattan restaurant, Fiamma Osteria.
•L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon (three courses) – Dissolving the boundaries between kitchen and dining room, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon allows guests to observe the creation of their meal while providing a friendly atmosphere where interaction with staff and diners is encouraged. This casual concept from legendary chef Joël Robuchon offers a tasting menu and an á la carte menu featuring both tapas and entrees.
•Pearl (three courses) - Enjoy authentic Canton and Shanghai specialties while surrounded by a serene and contemporary Chinese environment. The menu is constantly changing in order to take advantage of rare and unique seasonal offerings.
•NOBHILL (three courses) - Inspired by the traditional neighborhood restaurants throughout San Francisco, NOBHILL combines the city’s most famous and authentic dishes into one unique menu. Chef Michael Mina uses a diverse selection of seasonal, fresh products direct from the Bay Area to create both classic and contemporary dishes.
•SEABLUE (three courses) – The newest concept from Chef Michael Mina features an innovative and fun menu, built around “jet fresh” seafood dishes, offering guests a range of options and encourages family-style sharing.
•Shibuya (four courses) - Japanese culinary creations share the limelight with one of the country’s best sake programs. The menu focuses on “traditional modern” cuisine, capturing distinct Japanese ingredients updated with the best of modern Japanese and American techniques. Shibuya’s full-spectrum Japanese menu is delivered via three distinct dining experiences including Sushi, Teppan and á la carte specialties.
The KÀ pre-theatre dinner packages are priced at $175 per person and $199 per person. Total pricing includes gratuities and taxes and the packages are available Tuesday through Saturday between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Featuring 80 performers from around the world, KÀ tells the epic saga of Imperial Twins, a boy and a girl, who embark on an adventurous journey to fulfill their destinies. KÀ has taken audience members on a mystical trip through life with a few detours through the impossible. # # #
