MGM GRAND OPENS NEW POKER ROOM
LAS VEGAS – The MGM Grand opened its new poker room Monday, March 28 at Noon. The 4,000 square foot poker room features 22 tables of non-stop poker action. Professionals and amateurs alike have the opportunity to experience poker in the comfort of MGM Grand’s new room with a variety of games including 7-card stud, Texas Hold ‘em, Omaha Hi-Lo Split and No-limit Texas Hold ‘em.
The smoke-free poker room, located next to the recently-opened Centrifuge Bar and new Race & Sports Book, places guests in the heart of one of MGM Grand’s most dynamic neighborhoods. The poker room also offers 24-hour complimentary beverage service and a full-service cashier cage.
“Poker has quickly become one of the most popular activities for Las Vegas visitors,” said MGM Grand President and COO Gamal Aziz. “MGM Grand is excited about re-opening one of the premier poker rooms in the world. We pride ourselves on providing the best Las Vegas has to offer.”
Now a televised mainstream sports phenomenon and America’s favorite card game, poker has become an overnight sensation and an extremely popular spectator sport. The design of the room provides for a variety of open areas for guests to watch their favorite poker players during daily play and tournaments. Tournaments are scheduled to commence in the near future.
