FIAMMA BRIMS WITH AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FARE

LAS VEGAS – From Sicily to Milan, Fiamma Trattoria and Bar specializes in traditional recipes from across Italy and brings them to Las Vegas. From Braised Veal Osso Bucco to Ricotta Cheese Tortelli, the menu features the best of regional Italian dishes.

Fiamma, Italian for "flame," came to MGM Grand in August 2003 from noted New York restaurateur Stephen Hanson. Hanson, along with Esquire Magazine’s 2002 Chef of the Year Michael White, saw MGM Grand as the perfect opportunity to introduce Fiamma to a fresh audience, adding a dash of Soho style to the Las Vegas experience.

“Stephen Hanson’s style and enthusiasm cannot be duplicated by any restaurateur,” said Gamal Aziz, president and chief operating office of MGM Grand. “Las Vegas visitors are certain to fall in love with Fiamma at MGM Grand just as so many have fallen in love with Stephen’s New York offerings.”

For Hanson, teaming up with MGM Grand is stacking the deck in his favor. “Becoming part of the Las Vegas dining scene was an exciting venture for B. R. Guest and partnering with MGM Grand was an obvious choice, as it is epitomizes the best Las Vegas has to offer."

The noted architectural design firm of Yabu Pushelberg breathed life into the 7,000-square foot space situated within MGM Grand’s bustling Studio Walk. The dynamic contemporary design encompasses four distinct areas – a café, bar and lounge, split-level dining room and private screening room, which together accommodate more than 300 guests – and utilizes a palette of warm copper and espresso to complement rich zebra wood, maple and antique brown granite.

Fiamma is open nightly Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
