MGM Grand's Race & Sports Book is a state-of-the-art 5,300-square-foot betting arena. Adjacent to our Stage Deli, we offer seating for 104 guests, with thirty-six 65-inch LCD televisions and twenty-four 42-inch plasmas in the arena. This includes four 42-inch plasmas located on the posterior wall and two 42-inch plasmas at the Race & Sports Turf Bar. Also featured are six electronic display boards and 17 separate race and sports betting stations.
MGM Grand's Race & Sports Book is capable of receiving more than 53 channels of simultaneous action from all major international athletic and race events, including the four major sports along with NASCAR, boxing, MMA, soccer, championship golf, championship tennis, and thoroughbred racing. Additionally, 49 main floor seats are outfitted with individual 15-inch color televisions, allowing guests to personally access a network of racing and sporting events from around the globe. There is complimentary beverage service for Race Book guests.
And to top it all off, this is the first Race and Sports Book in the industry to offer "SkyBoxes" for its guests. These four Skyboxes, ranging in size from 300 - 325 square feet, are each equipped with the latest technology available, including 42-inch plasma televisions, surround-sound audio, and CD systems. We also offer gaming systems for our "gamers". Our Skyboxes offer a special second-level view and can comfortably host eight to 10 guests. SkyBox 2 and SkyBox 3 can be configured to comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests with their own beverage server and complimentary food. Also, SkyBox 4 is designed for privacy for our race book players with four individual stations which have their own 15-inch color monitors.
